On June 12, 2010 Restauracion - Los Angeles was rocked by the
Christian Hip-Hop culture. We titled this event “Party With The Rock Star”. There was 3 main purposes behind this event. First was to Glorify God and celebrate the joy of salvation. Second was to use the culture of Hip-Hop as a means to share the gospel. And Third was to show the world that we are to be one body in Christ.
“Party with the Rock Star” was simply amazing! There was about 500 people in attendance all of different nationalities, ages, and denominations. For example we had Pacific Islanders, Hispanics, African Americans, & Caucasians, just to name a few. There were believers from all over Southern California. Some flew in from as far as the east coast.
All to take part in a night that will never be forgotten. There was incredible opening acts such as spoken word poet Ezekiel, rap group G-Shock, rapper Young Chozen, and the main guest Trip Lee and Tedashii with DJ Official. The music was intense. The environment was unforgettable. The people were amazing. All of this happening to lift up a burnt offering to our Father. This night was a glimpse of what Heaven will look like. We experienced heaven on earth.
El 12 de Junio del año 2010, Restauración-Los Ángeles fue visitada e impactada por la cultura Cristiana del Hip Hop. Titulamos este evento “Party With The Rock Star/ En Fiesta Con La Estrella”. Había 3 propósitos principales tras este evento. Primeramente fue para glorificar a Dios y celebrar el gozo de su salvación.
Segundo, fue para usar la cultura de Hip-Hop para compartir el evangelio. Y el tercer propósito fue para enseñarle al mundo que somos uno en Cristo. “En Fiesta Con La Estrella” fue un evento increíble! Habían aproximadamente 500 personas de diferentes nacionalidades, edades, y denominaciones. Por ejemplo, tuvimos isleños del Pacifico, Hispanos, Afro-Americanos, Caucásicos, solo para nombrar algunos. Hubieron creyentes de todo sur de California.
Algunos llegaron desde la Costa Este de los Estados Unidos; todos para ser parte de una noche que nunca será olvidada. Hubieron actos que comenzaron la actividad tales como poetas ungidos de evangelismo, grupos de rap como: “G-Shock”, “Young Chozen, y los raperos generales “Trip Lee” y “Tedashii” con “DJ Official”. La música estuvo intensa. El ambiente estuvo inolvidable. La gente estuvo extraordinaria. Todo sucediendo para ofrecer un sacrificio a nuestro Padre. La noche era un vistazo de cómo será en el cielo. Experimentamos cielo en tierra.
